Other facilities
Visitors with disabilities
There is a limited number of wheelchairs available for free hire. Almost all paths and walkways are easily accessible by visitors in wheelchairs, however elevated walkway and gift shop have stair access only. We admit Assistance Dogs into the Model Village. We hope to be able to give wheelchair access to the ride-on railway by 2008, and apologise for the restrictions until then.
Dogs
We are only able to admit Assistance Dogs into the Model Village. We apologise to other dog-owners for this restriction.
Pushchairs
Although some of the paths through the village are quite narrow, there are routes with adequate space for pushchairs that seat two children side-by-side. There is also space for you to leave them safely to one side.
