New Virtual Village v1.2
The Virtual Village v1.2 is an internet-based feature that lets you build your own 3D model village, whilst signalling trains through the station. Based on Bekonscot, the structures are of 1930s English appearance, and the trains are exact replicas of the real ones! You need Macromedia's FLASHplayer to use or view the Virtual Village. If you do not have this, then you can download it here.
Please note: Bekonscot cannot be held responsible for the content and descriptions of users' own Virtual Villages. Use of the Virtual Village is entirely at the risk of the user.
NEWS: 9th August 2004: BBC RADIO 2 names Bekonscot's Virtual Village as WEBSITE OF THE DAY! Click here for details.
IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR RETURNING USERS
Users of the Virtual Village in 2002 and 2003 will notice that there is no longer a requirement for entering details to register. Old villages from 2002 and 2003 still exist and can be accessed from the Gallery. A better search function will be launched later in 2005 with the launch of VV v2.0.
You can build your very own Virtual Village right now or browse the villages created by other visitors in the Gallery.
